On one of my recent hikes in the Amnicon State Forest near Superior, Wi.Welcome to the Dean of Students page here at MIB!

My name is Kris Hoffman, and I come to MIB after 8 years working in school districts as a school counselor, and most recently my stops have included Grand Marais (Cook County Schools) and Hutchinson, MN for their high school.  Prior to that, I spent just over 8 years in the Army, and completed my bachelors degree in teaching from Winona State University (Elementary Education and Middle School Math) and my Masters Degree from Liberty University, and have a variety of experiences to complement what I will hopefully be doing here as YOUR Dean of Students.  I have family in the area, and have always loved my time up on the range.

I'm a huge believe in transparency and communication, so please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions or concerns about Mt. Iron- Buhl schools, and I'd love to help continue the reputation of this district grow :)

So, a little about me-- I love hiking, hunting, fishing, weekends at the cabin, naps, and of course the occasional Netflix spree.  Always looking for new shows to watch and new places to explore.  I come from a family where I have 15 aunts and uncles (13 on my dad's side and 2 on my moms), and 60+ cousins, as well as being the middle child in my own family.  So, I have a lot of experiences and stories about life in a big family.

If there's ever anything I can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out.  I know I'm new to the area, but will always do my best to try and find the best solution for our kids here at MIB.

Thanks for reading, and looking forward to connecting with you in the future!
