3rd Grade Teacher
After 18 wonderful years of teaching kindergarten here at MIB, I bravely stepped into the world of third grade. While I may miss the toothless smiles and first-time readers of kindergarten, I am enjoying the independence and quick wit of my third graders. I love watching third graders take on big-kid challenges, explore deeper topics and show off their growing confidence as a student/reader. 
I graduated from St. Cloud State University with my Bachelors' Degree in Early Childhood Education … way back when the dinosaurs roamed. In 2012, I decided to go back to school to get my Master's Degree in Education through Hamline University. 
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to raise my children in the same area that both my husband and I grew up. There's something special about sharing the places, traditions and simple joys that shaped our own childhood. Now my children get to call MIB their home, as well. It certainly is a wonderful place to work and go to school!
