This class is geared towards new and beginning students (or students that want a refresher course!) Class will focus on all the basic foundational bellydance moves, an educational background about the art of bellydance, as well as an introduction to bellydance styles.

NewVo is a fitness dance fusion class that integrates Middle Eastern classic style and sensuality with a pumped-up cardio work-out that gets everyone feeling super-charged and super-fit! NewVo fuses traditional Middle Eastern movements and steps with popular aerobic moves, mixing exercise and energy with Middle Eastern flair!  Representing the music of Middle East, Africa, Australia, India, Hawaii, Spain and MORE!! NewVo moves quickly into an easy-to-follow total body work out and finishes off with another great stretch and cool down, all to the sounds of the World!  People of all aerobic levels can be challenged while still avoiding strains or injuries as there are different options for how to approach any of the moves.  Students come away feeling full of energy and addicted to the tunes and rhymes that just had them in a hot dance trance.

SPRING SESSION A

Monday March 27, 2-17 – May 10, 2017

6 full weeks online – This online course is designed to share cultural knowledge and language spoken by indigenous people in the Lake Superior woodland region.  Ojibwe is an endangered language as most fluent speakers are elders.  No previous experience needed.

Online Ojibwe and Traditions offers: Convenient 24/7 secure digital access-12 interactive lessons in 6 weeks-Printable lessons, voiced audio, digital language and cultural resources, discussion forums and voiced language practice with instructor.  A certificate of completion (24hours) upon full completion.  Some basic computer and online experience preferred.  (Maximum 10 participants)

NEW SECOND LEVEL B!

SPRING SESSION

Monday March 27, 2-17 – May 10, 2017

Online Beginning Ojibwe Part B.  A second level of online learning for those who want to continue learning Objiwe vocabulary, grammar, and cultural perspectives.  Six (6) weeks with 12 online lesions.  Closes May 10, 2017 and certificate of completion will be mailed.

Learn how to make homemade pasta without any special equipment, as well as several Italian sauces, gnocci, and risotto.  Students can also bring containers to bring food home in. 

 

MIB Art Club Canvas Painting Fundraiser

Come and support Mountain Iron-Buhl art club and students by creating your own masterpiece.  You will be taught by the MIB art instructor how to paint the image on a 16” X 20” canvas.  You are able to change the background color of the image to match your style!  There will be treats and drinks available.  Also joining us will be Pampered Chef and LuLaroe clothing.
